PARTLY CLOUDY - ALL IN THE TIMING
Recently traveled to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to visit my wife's family and to photograph the beautiful outdoors of this part of the state. Having lived in this area for three years, I expected chilly, overcast days, with frequent morning fog. Not on this trip. Four days of clear, cloudless skies and temperatures nearing the weather I left behind in Tennessee.
Finally, a partly cloudy day. Sun popping in and out, mostly in. But the challenge was met. As I was composing the shot, my brother-in-law would tell me when the sun was getting ready to go behind a cloud. I would be ready to hit the shutter button on his signal. What teamwork!
