Moulton Ranch

My wife, daughter and son-in-law recently visited northwestern Wyoming, beginning in the Grand Tetons and venturing into Yellowstone National Park.  I was excited to have the opportunity to stay at the Cabins at Moulton Ranch on Mormon Row.  I have literally seen hundreds of photos of this barn.  I think it is on most landscape photographer's bucket list.  That theory was proven when I walked from my cabin to the location in front of the barn.  At 6:00am there were about 25 tripods already in position; all trying to get the famous shot of the barn with the Grand Tetons in the background.

Rather than jockey for space, I left the sound of rapid shutter clicks and set up this shot from the lawn behind our cabin.  A different perspective on an iconic location.  No crowds, no noise, no distractions.  May not be the greatest image of this barn, but I've never seen it from this angle and it works for me.  Just another example of looking at things a little differently.
