Fernadina Beach

I'm not a beach person.  I truly believe my life would be more fulfilled if I enjoyed being surrounded by hot, glaring sand and my body broiled to a medium rare by the sun.  Not to mention, dealing with a painful sunburn and the inevitable shedding of skin like a python.  Sorry, not a beach person.

But when Linda and I had an opportunity travel with friends to explore Amelia Island, I was ready.  After all, I enjoy shooting sunrises and I know that I would be off the beach by the time the beach lovers arrived and the conditions I outlined above had developed.  Oh, I should mention I love fresh seafood.

So I ventured out and set up my gear for the expected golden rays of sun peeking through the dramatic, pink clouds.  The sun came up and not a single cloud in the sky.  Just blue water and blue sky.  Thank goodness for Lightroom plug-ins.  Topaz Impression saved the day.  This ended up being one of my favorite images of the trip.
